Why use NightLase for Snoring and Sleep Apnoea?
The procedure involves the use of powerful but gentle dental laser light on the visible structures at the back of the throat. NightLase can decrease the volume and frequency of snoring. No anaesthesia is used in this treatment and no downtime is required because you can still eat and drink normally immediately after treatment.
How many treatments are required?
A full course of NightLase consists of three 20min treatment sessions over a six week period.
Patients find NightLase to be a highly comfortable and satisfying solution.
NightLase does not require:
any device to be worn during sleep and
involves no chemical treatment.
It’s a gentle and easy way for you to regain a good night’s rest.
How does NightLase Treatment work?
The NightLase treatment laser light gently heats the tissue, causing tightening of the tissue that leads to an attenuation of the sound of the patients snoring.
The final results of the treatment have been shown to last up to a year. When the patients or their loved ones notice the effects eroding, another session of treatment can be performed.
Is NightLase a complicated procedure? Does it hurt?
NightLase is simple and patients typically experience minimal discomfort. This technique is different to other types of laser procedures that are extremely painful or involve cutting the soft palate. It is easy to perform and has a high success rate. Research has shown that NightLase reduces snoring for about 80 per cent of the patients treated.
